Last Updated: February 5, 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using PetGuardian ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
PetGuardian is a notification service designed to alert designated contacts if the primary user fails to check in within a specified time frame. We provide the platform for storing instructions and automating alerts, but we do not provide physical pet care services ourselves.
3. User Responsibilities
You utilize the Service at your own risk. You are responsible for:
- Providing accurate and up-to-date contact information for yourself and your trusted helpers.
- Ensuring your trusted helpers have agreed to be contacted in an emergency.
- Responding to check-in prompts to prevent false alarms.
- Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
4. Subscriptions and billing
PetGuardian allows you to subscribe to a monthly or annual plan. Payment is charged at the beginning of each billing cycle. You may cancel your subscription at any time; however, access to the Service will continue until the end of the current billing period. No refunds are provided for partial months.
5. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, PetGuardian shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues. We are a software service provider and cannot guarantee the actions or availability of your designated contacts.
6. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. We will notify you of significant changes by posting the new terms on our website or sending you an email. Your continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the new terms.
7. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which PetGuardian operates, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
